GRAC Sponsors Appaloosa Youth at VACS
Through an arrangement with AAA Youth Director, Sharon Coldwell, GRAC has come to an arrangement whereby funds will be supplied to the AAYA for sponsorship of the Appaloosa Youth at not only the Vic State App Championship Show, but other State shows in Australia as well.

GRAC Sponsors Appaloosa Amateurs at VACS
Through discussion with various Amateur members and GRAC Committee Members, an arrangement has been made for GRAC to sponsor first prizes to the 26 Amateur classes at the VACS, as well as provide Garlands for a number of "selected" Amateur classes.

Additionally, GRAC has sponsored a number of classes at the Australian Halter Showcase being held in March at Werribee Park, as has Mark Shaffer, who has not only donated DVD sets and $50 gift cards, but also donated a training saddle, worth $1800 US$. I understand the saddle will be awarded in a competition open to competitors and spectators, but you will need to be there to win!!!

GRAC SPONSORS ROYAL MELBOURNE SUMMER SHOW

GRAC has been putting some effort into promoting the Appaloosa "outside" our usual arena, sponsoring the Supreme Appaloosa Exhibit at the recent Royal show.

GRAC members Karen Leoncelli was there with her young pally mare "NB Magnolia Doll", as was Janet McLeod with her new chestnut gelding "APS Every Girls Dream". While Karen achieved 2nd place in the Filly 3yo & Under, Janet managed 1st in the Gelding 3yo & Under and went on to take out the Champion Gelding.

Attention Improvers and Am Owners....Clinic with International Trainer

GRAC is looking at holding a weekend clinic JUST FOR YOU!!!
Our clinician will be Tim Zuidema, based in Florida, USA.
How often does an affordable clinic with a USA trainer come available for anyone other than the professionals? Not often....here's your chance!!!

Originally set up for February, we have postponed to the 2nd week in Nov 2010 (to be confirmed).

Tim will be in Australia for 3 weeks only, visiting Vic, WA and Qld, and is working with us to provide a 2 day clinic that will benefit ALL of our improvers & Am Owners. The proposed clinic will be divided into 4 quarters over the weekend, and will cover the disciplines of Pleasure, Hunter, Horsemanship, Western riding & Trail. Truth is, we're in the planning stages, so if there's something we've not covered, let us know and we'll try to include it.

Each quarter will be limited to 10 people only, and will cost $120 per quarter. Riders can attend for 1 session, or more, and receive instruction from one of the top western riders & trainers in the USA.
